Two Roughs
Two roughs for some lovely books, I am looking forward to doing these and it has been so nice to re read the books as well. Silas Marner was one of my favorite books at school.

The Outsider
I am never sure if entering competitions is a good idea, the risk of damaging a fragile ego is so great! However as I get older I seem to be less upset by the results, so here goes. This is my entry for the Folio Society's competition to illustrate "The Outsider" by Albert Camus. I re read the book a while ago and have not been able to get it out of my head and this style (based on the art of Modigliani with a nod towards Schiele) was what illustrated my dreams, Entry number 1,347 I think! Fingers crossed!!

Natty Nativitys
A natty little, make-it-yourself nativity that I made for sale on Etsy and Folksy, this is the coloured in version, it comes like this
and is a right bargain at £3.00, great for keeping the kids amused in the run up to Christmas.
While I am on about Nativities here is the one that I made many years ago for my own bunch of nose miners
much added to over the years, we have a holy trio of pigs, a very weird lamb, that my Mum made, and the baby Jesus has been called "the Holy Maggot" for many years now, cant think why!

Baby Jesus and All
This is the paper cutout Nativity that I have just made as a downloadable pdf file which is for sale on Etsy and Folksy.
Everyone is there, the little baby Jesus, his ma and pa, all his friends both rich and poor, lots of sheep a lowing cow and a little donkey. If you buy it you get to colour it in and make it, hours of fun for the Christmas holidays!

Christmas is coming
and I love making stuff for the tree, the house, any excuse. This year I am going to put them up for sale in the Folksy/Etsy/Zibbet shops that I have made. Very pleased today as I got my first sale of prints from Folksy. They are great sites, all three and very easy to use, well worth trying if you like making things.
